Officer Spradlin, enraged by the actions of the bum, chases him through the alleyways. Interestingly and ironically, Spradlin's ineptness and cruelty rather than true detective/police skills, leads him to the discovery of the body.

I'm particularily fond of panel 1, with the jagged alleyway and the bum's right leg exiting the panel and giving the illusion of movement.
