Stone displays certain arrogance in his statements on this page. To some extent, perhaps he's being a bit holier than thou in his statements about a bum outrunning one of the city's "finest". The intention of this page is to, again, add shades to the character of Allen Stone.

Frankly, I didn't want the reader to feel that Stone is a "great" man. He isn't. He's someone who went through a great tragedy and is trying to put his life back together and redeem himself.
